It was brief, but Jack Haig did appear in an episode of AYBS. He played a horrible violin player that came into Grace Brothers begging for money. He managed to get some from Mr. Humphries (money, I mean).

I sort of recall the Jack Haig episode, but it's been a while since I've seen that one.

The ones I recall most are the ones where Gorden Kaye showed up - I nearly fell off my chair when he walked into Grace Brothers.

Very Happy

I remember that one. He played the guy with the hidden camera in his sporran.

I guess Jack Haig appeared in 2 episodes of AYBS.

Here's the one from "A Personal Problem": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfP6ifJ3I1w he appears around the 2:07 mark

Here's the other one from the episode "The Erotic Dreams Of Mrs. Slocombe": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW5dO1f0ghc he appears around the 6:00 mark

If you look on TV now, most of the comedies are a load of rubbish. If you look back and think of 'Allo 'Allo and Dad's Army, they put the new comedies to shame

I agree. A lot of comedies these days are nothing but ****. I know old BritComs like Allo Allo and AYBS had their sexual moments, but it's not as prominent as the shows these days.

I just watched the episode of AYBS called "Closed Circuit" and I could not believe that was Gordon Kaye who played the director in the episode. Probably because he had a full head of hair (don't know if it was his own hair or a toupee) and was much slimmer than on Allo Allo. He was so funny in that episode.

He also appeared in the episode "Do You Take This Man?" where Mrs. Slocombe was going to marry a Greek person.
